Graffigna Grand Reserve Malbec 2008 Review
This weekend we decided to have a cheese and meat night so naturally we got ourselves a bottle of red for $16.95...and I decided to do a quick review.
This malbec has a very dark plum color that no light passes through. The aroma is strong and heavy with plum and cherry notes and a subtle smokiness. The taste is dry and rich with tart plum, berry and cherry flavours. The finish is warm and dry with a bit of smokiness and tannins. Though the wine has an alcohol content of 14.5%, the alcoholic taste is minimal. Overall the wine is rich, warm and enjoyable.
Scores:
Cost - $16.95
Taste - 9/10
ABV - 14.5%
Overall - 9/10...dark, rich, warm and enjoyable
