Post Road Pumpkin Ale Review

I found another pumpkin beer on the shelves of the local LCBO and this one comes from our neighbors down south - USA. The beer comes a little late for our thanksgiving holiday, but it is right on time for the US one. This guy also goes by the name of Brooklyn Pumpkin Ale since it is brewed by Brooklyn Brewery.

The beer is deep amber in color, a little hazy and pours with a medium thick, creamy and off-white head. The aroma is spicy and pumpkiny with a strange Big Mac sauce-like note to it. The taste is pretty light and good. It is neither too strong nor too weak, a perfect easy sipping pumpkin beer. It has a medium mouth-feel with malt and spices which come and the start and stay until the very end. The finish is on the lighter side and feels very thin, but it still carries the same spice and maltiness with a touch of hops. Once again, this is a pretty good, easy sipping pumpkin beer.

Scores:
Cost - $2.60
Taste - 6.7/10
ABV - 5.0%

Overall - 6.7/10...rare find at the lcbo, but a pretty decent pumpkin beer
