Mill Street Lemon Tea Beer Review
Hurray, new Mill St Brewery product. OK, it is not that new because it has been a part of the latest Mill St Brewery Sampler pack for some time. But now, you can buy the beer in individual cans for $2.65 CAD each.
Reading the back of the label, I am excited to try it - the beer is infused with a blend of orange pekoe and earl grey teas and has a subtle lemon twist. Time to open it and drink it then.
The beer has a very nice amber color and pours with a short, lively head. The aroma is very inviting with notes of hops, orange pekoe and lemons in the distance. The taste is surprisingly good with a full earl grey flavour and hops. The end is sweet with a hint of lemons while the finish is a combination of earl grey and hops and slightly bitter. Overall this is a fantastic new beer with a great tea-beer balance and a fantastic finish, recommended!
Scores:
Cost - $2.65 CAD for a 473 mL can or $2.20 for a 355 mL bottle
Taste - 8/10
Overall - 8.1/10...0.1 for the surprise factor. The beer is refreshing with a well balanced taste
