My first pumpkin beer of the season...and it's a good one too. I got the last 4 pack from the big LCBO store on Summerhill for $9.95.
The beer pours with a thin, tan head which quickly recedes to a ring. The color is deep amber with red hues and slightly cloudy. The aroma is intense...very intense. It is like shoving your nose into a warm pumpkin pie. Cinnamon, clove, touch of hops, sweet dried fruits are the dominant aromas. The beer has a heavy taste, comparable to eating pumpkin pie. All of the spices come right out and linger for a long time. The finish is spicy, a little warm and a touch hoppy. If you like pumpkin pie, you will absolutely love this beer.
Scores:
Cost - $9.95 for a 4 pack
Taste - 8.9/10
Overall - 8.9/10...love pumpkin pie and love this beer
