Great Lakes Brewery Canuck Pale Ale Review

So, it was July 1st just a day ago and the LCBO has a few beers made for this day. Today I am trying Great Lakes Brewery's Canuck Pale Ale, which just like their Green Tea Ale and many of their other beers comes in a 650 mL bottle, which costs $4.95.

The beer is light copper in color and pours with a medium thick creamy and lacy head. The aroma is very rich and typical for a good pale ale - flowery and hoppy. The taste is equally good with a strong malt taste at first with some citrus and flowery tones. The finish is my favorite part, it is short to medium, hoppy, bittersweet and slightly dry. Overall, this is a very solid brew and another fantastic Great Lakes Brewery release. Unfortunately it is a seasonal brew so unless you hurry up, there won't be any left on the shelves until this time next year.

Scores:
Cost - $4.95 CAD for a 650 mL bottle
Taste - 8.1/10

Overall - 8.1/10...solid beer in a fantastically sized 650 mL bottle
