Antigravity Light Ale Review

Antigravity is an ale made by The Robert Simpson Brewery and is available in some pubs on tap or in 6 packs at the LCBO. Each 6 pack costs $11.95 which is on par with one of their other brews - Hoptical Illusion. Just like the Hoptical bottle caps, each of these caps have something witty written on them. This one says "Don't Panic!", the one I had before said "Carpe Beerum!"

The beer is a bit cloudy, pale golden in color and pours with a short, almost non-existent head. The aroma is not very inviting due to its yeast notes. Some malt and hop hints are noticeable, but the yeast ruins the experience a little. The taste is much better than the aroma. It starts off light, citrusy with some malt and ends on a hoppier note. The finish is short, slightly bitter and a touch grassy. Overall, this is a very decent light and refreshing beer, but it lacks the characters of the Hoptical.

Scores:
Cost - $11.95 CAD for a 6 pack
Taste - 6.9/10

Overall - 6.9/10...decent light beer
