Beau's All Natural Lug Tread Lagered Ale Review

I have wanted to try this for months now, but every time I was determined to walk out of an LCBO with a 4 pack, they would be all gone. Well this weekend was a different story. I said I will get one, I walked into the closest LCBO and saw 2 of these on the shelves and you know what was even better than seeing 2 four packs? Their packaged date, which was exactly 2 days ago. Yes, fresh beer.

There are several things that I like about the packaging. First off, the bottles are the perfect size - over a pint. Secondly, the pack itself is very well thought out and designed. There are hidden gems of information everywhere on the pack and there are a couple of brochures and stickers that I found. But enough about the packaging, lets try the beer.

The beer has a very light amber color/dark straw color and pours with a short head which dissipates quickly. Though slightly richer, it has a typical grainy lager aroma. The taste is where this lager stands out from the rest. It has a much richer taste with grainy notes and a good amount of hops at the end for a beer this type. The finish is short to medium, slightly hoppy with some more, but very subtle, grainy hints, and kind of refreshing. Overall, this is a pretty decent organic lager that comes fresh in a very cool packaging. Strongly recommended if you like lagers, but also try it even if you prefer something else.

Scores:
Cost - $15.60 for a 4-pack
Taste - 7.8/10

Overall - 7.8/10...fantastic package, fresh and refreshing lager
